Just because we cut down trees doesn’t mean we don’t care about them, in fact it’s quite the opposite. We love them and want to see them in our environment thriving in great health by providing habitats for wildlife and oxygen for us to breath. Wood is a fantastic natural regenerative resource which has been used for thousands of years. In Scotland we are blessed with some of the most beautiful landscapes and scenery in the world and we want to ensure it stays that way. Unless necessary we pledge to do what we can do ensure safe and healthy trees remain standing with pride. When we do have to remove a tree we will recommend planting a new tree in its place or offsite.
Our woodchips are transformed into bio-fuel and used as an alternative to coal and gas. This is better for our environment as we move away from fossil fuels.
We keep in touch with local carpenters and whenever possible supply lengths of wood to them to up-cycle them into furniture to sell locally. Not only does this ensure part of the felled tree kept in it’s natural form, it creates something unique for somebody else to enjoy for years to come.
